about Anne Sheridan Smith

Anne Sheridan SmithANNE SHERIDAN SMITH

Anne is a Chicago native, actress, and a proud founding member of Foiled Again. She grew up on Chicago’s northwest side, inspired to perform by seeing lots of Chicago theatre, a Dad who can sing and play guitar and concerts at the Old Town School of Folk Music. She returned to Chicago after receiving her BA in Theatre from Western Illinois University and touring with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan

After her return to Chicago, Anne appeared in productions of WNEP Theatre Foundation and Dolphinback Theatre Company, and was a founding member and actor of Wax Fruit Theatre Company, producing theatre for five years in Chicago. She was managing director and actor of a children’s theatre company, Chicago Theatre Works (now called ClassicWorks Theatre Company, based in Indianapolis). Other theatre ensued, then she met Rob and Allison as a fellow singer at Chicago’s Navy Pier. She jumped at Rob’s invitation to her and Allison to perform a holiday show at Davenport's Piano Bar. The rest is history...

Anne's an acting ensemble member of Wavelength Inc. since 1999, performing keynote presentations for teachers nationally and internationally. She also performs with the Chicago Rovers, singing Irish ballads in pubs, clubs, weddings, and festivals – mostly during the weeks surrounding St. Patrick’s Day – and also appearing in Chicago’s Celtic Fest in 2005.

Anne continues to act and sing in and around Chicago. She’s appeared in productions of theatres and companies such as Light Opera Works, Drury Lane Oakbrook, Factory Theater, Fireside Dinner Theatre, Boxer Rebellion Theatre, Porchlight Music Theatre, Theatre Building Chicago, Noble Fool Theatricals, Appetite Theatre and Vitalist Theatre.
